This is adorable as a hair decoration itself, very plush and comfortable to have in your hairstyle of the day. :) However, the "scrunchie" that is attached to it isn't very practical for tying hair up. I used a regular hair tie to do so, then put this scrunchie on top as decoration.
I prefer to use this for holding together small household items or non-hair uses - so consider it multifunctional. :)
